Hours Of Operation

If you would like product and pricing information, our Smith-Root sales team is available to assist you between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. pacific time Monday through Friday, at 1-360-573-0202. For order status information or other assistance with an order you have already placed with the Smith-Root Store, please contact Smith-Root Sales by phone at 1-360-573-0202 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. pacific time Monday through Friday.

U.S. Sales Only

The Smith-Root Store sells and ships products only within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. No shipments can be made to APO or FPO addresses, United States territories, or addresses outside the United States.

Refunds & Returns

Customers returning equipment in new condition within 30 days of accepting delivery of Smith-Root, Inc. merchandise will be given credit to the applicable Visa/Master Card account within five days from the date of the return. Valid equipment returns include, but are not limited to, ordering incorrect equipment, funding deficits, and defective equipment returned for reimbursement. A completed Equipment Return Form must accompany all returns. All returns are subject to a restocking fee and applicable shipping charges. The restocking fee is figured at 10% of the purchase price but not less than $20.00. Customers receiving equipment in damaged condition will be referred to the shipping company for insurance reimbursement.

Payment Methods

Credit Card

You may pay by credit card no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or phone). At the time your order is placed, Smith-Root obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships.

The Smith-Root Store accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards.

PLEASE NOTE:
- We are unable to accept credit cards issued by banks outside of the United States.
- Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.

Checks or Money Order

The Smith-Root Store accepts cashier's checks, business checks, personal checks and money orders as valid forms of payment. If you wish to pay by check or money order, you may order by phone at 1-360-573-0202. The check or money order must be payable to Smith-Root, Inc., and include your web order number and/or a copy of your order. Please mail your payment to:
Smith-Root, Inc. 14014 NE Salmon Creek Ave. Vancouver, WA 98686 Smith-Root must receive your payment within 10 calendar days or your order will be canceled. Please allow 1 business day for order processing after Smith-Root receives your payment.

Wire & ACH Transfer

The Smith-Root Store accepts bank wire and ACH transfers as a valid form of payment. If you would like to use a wire or ACH transfer to pay for your order, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact the Smith-Root Store at 1-360-573-0202 and place an order by phone.
  2. Obtain the final dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges from the Smith-Root Store representative.
  3. Have your bank electronically transfer the total dollar amount of your order referencing your name and web order number to the account supplied by the Smith-Root Store representative.

Processing time varies among banking institutions and can be delayed. Please allow 3 business days for the processing of your wire or ACH transfer.

Sales Tax

Smith-Root Store purchases will include Washington State sales tax for all orders with a ship-to location in Washington State. If you phone in your order, the Smith-Root Store sales representative will provide the final dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. The proof of purchase that Smith-Root mails to you will include any applicable sales tax.

Tax-Exempt Orders

If your order is being placed on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, please call Smith-Root Store Sales at 1-360-573-0202. Be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is being shipped. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate.

Shipping Options

Smith-Root offers convenient shipping options.

Signature is required for delivery: Most of our shipments contain valuable equipment. If you will not be at the shipping address to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping the item to an address where someone you trust will be available to sign for your package. Please note that we are not able to adjust the shipping address once a package has left Smith-Root's warehouse. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery.

Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, please contact us to make arrangements for reshipment.

Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the package will be returned to us.

Prices

Smith-Root reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the Smith-Root Store at any time.

Product Warranty

All Smith-Root products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a minimum one-year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. You may review a copy of the Warranty on new products, including its limitations and exclusions, before you purchase, by clicking here. Smith-Root built boat hulls are covered by a two-year Warranty.

Non-Smith-Root-branded/Third-party products are sold "AS IS" by the Smith-Root Store, but may be accompanied by their manufacturers' standard warranties. "AS IS" products are sold by Smith-Root as is, where is, and with all faults, and without express or implied warranties from Smith-Root. If you have questions about any manufacturers' warranties that accompany such products, please contact the manufacturer directly.

Note: Products sold through this Web site which do not bear the Smith-Root Brand name are serviced and supported exclusively by their manufacturers in accordance with any terms and conditions packaged with the products. Smith-Root's Warranty does not apply to products that are not Smith-Root-branded, even if packaged or sold with Smith-Root products. Please contact the manufacturer directly for technical support and customer service.

Other Terms And Conditions

  • Smith-Root is not responsible for typographical errors.
  • Smith-Root reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale at the Smith-Root Store at any time.
  • All sales at the Smith-Root Store are governed by Washington law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
  • No Smith-Root employee or agent has the authority to vary any of the Smith-Root Store's policies or the terms and conditions governing any sale.
