Description
Convenient 25 or 100-count case of eDNA self-preserving filter packs, containing:
- (25 or 100) Preloaded, openable inline filter housing
- (25 or 100) Tubing extension for filter housing
Smith-Root is the first and only manufacturer of the Self-Preserving eDNA filter. The innovative design uses a biodegradable/hydrophilic resin to absorb moisture from the filter membrane, automatically preserving the captured eDNA. This greatly simplifies the sampling process. No more cold storage, bags of silica, or preservation buffer needed — simply place the filter back in the packaging and seal it shut. The eDNA is then shelf-stable for more than 6 months at room temperature! Self-preserving filters are ideal for projects that rely on citizen scientists for sampling or for researchers without a molecular biology background.

Satisfaction Guaranteed
Smith-Root eDNA filters are covered by our exceptional warranty service. If the filter does not perform within specifications (e.g. cannot reach 10 PSI or your pressure set limit, if set at 10 PSI or less), we will replace the filters at no charge to you within one year of purchase. Guarantee applies to appropriate use of the filters with the Smith-Root eDNA Sampler system or approved pump.
Note: Under high pressure, air leakage and bubbles in the suction tubing are possible. This does not impact filtration efficiency or volume filtered. Please contact Smith-Root technical support if you have questions.
